Advanced Standohyd Refinishing

Course details:
Suitable for those with a good overall knowledge and experience who want to increase their skills and productivity. The course covers advanced refinishing techniques in detail, including Micro Repair, the use of Ultra Violet–cured materials and the latest Platinum Clearcoats. The course also includes briefings on the new technology products, such as next generation clearcoats. Paint film rectification is also included.
 
The Standox System Designer is also explained, with delegates able to design and take away a personalised Standox system chart for their own bodyshop.
 
Full health and safety advice will be given.
 
This course is NVQ accredited, and helps refinishers gain their NVQ Level 3 qualifications.
 
Who should come:
Delegates should have some experience of waterborne basecoat. The course suits less experienced sprayers wishing to move up in their careers as well as establishers sprayers who need a refresher course in the latest techniques.
 
Duration:
Two days.

Delegates will be supplied with overalls, whites, and all necessary personal protective equipment. All items for practical and theoretical sessions will be provided.

Standox Colouristic

Course details:
This course teaches how to match and mix metallic, pearl and xirallic colours accurately and quickly. Full background is given on how colours are created and the many systems currently available to help colour matching such as Color- Box, Standowin, Smart Scales, on line formulations and colour readers.
 

Delegates will be taught how to identify and develop colours. Detailed advice is given on the valuable skill of assessing colour direction, which helps fast and accurate correction of formulations and variants to match the vehicle colour.
 

Full health and safety advice will be given.
 
Who should come:
For bodyshop and distributor staff with previous colouristic experience and sprayers who mix and match their own formulations. 
 

Duration:
Two days.

Standox Micro Repair

Course details:
This course will provide participants with specialist information on the repair procedures and products required to successfully repair vehicles in the process known as Micro Repair.
 
Participants will experience hands-on surface preparation and application guidance along with demonstrations and theoretical know-how and training directly relating to the repair of small zones on selected areas.
 
Who should come:
The course is aimed at experienced refinishers who want to use Micro Repair techniques for faster throughput of small area repairs.

This course has been designed to teach technicians of the correct process and application of special finishes such as a 3 stage finish.  It will demonstrates the proven repair methods and show practical tips on how to get the job done quickly and correctly minimising costly reworks and provide participants with specialist information on the procedures and products required to successfully repair vehicles in this type of finish.
 
Delegates will use proven “Best Practice” methodology to optimise time and material savings in the bodyshop to get the best results with these increasingly popular OEM finishes.

For paint shop technicians with previous painting experience.
