As soon as a new vehicle color appears, Standox provides car refinishers with the matching color formulation for repair work. Every week new formulations are added to the online color database. Now they can also be imported directly into Standowin, the popular color code search programme from Standox. This means that errors such as transposed numbers can no longer occur.
Thanks to regular updates, customers who use Standowin are always well informed about new colors and technical developments. To give automotive refinishers direct access to new color formulations between regular updates, a new function has been added. Starting from the 1/2010 update it will be possible to download formulations from the color search page on www.standox.com (or the respective national Standox website) to the ”Standox Import-Export“ folder on your PC. The new formulations can then be imported into Standowin by pressing the ”External Formulation“ button.
The refinisher now has two options. He can either send the formulation directly to the electronic scales for mixing without storing. Or he can store it until the next update as a “customised formulation” to expand his own database, where it also links to the Genius spectrophotometer. Thanks to the new Internet formulation download, digital color management is now easier, faster and safer.
