Standox, the global refinish brand based in Wuppertal, Germany, not only supports its customers with high quality products, but also with a comprehensive consulting service. Standox Consulting consists of six modules, which include topics such as Marketing and Sales, Distribution or Product and Process, and Standox partner bodyshops around the globe can take advantage of these modules.
Standox centrally trains the consulting advisers, who deliver the consultancy to bodyshops, through the Train the Trainer series of seminars, helping to ensure the advisers are always up-to-date with the latest technological developments and that the service meets the same quality standards everywhere.
The most recent Train the Trainer consulting seminar was in support of the Management and Organisation module. Thirteen Standox consultants, from all around the world, including Russia, Denmark and Egypt, took part in the two-day event in Wuppertal, which covered many important topics, including:
- How to identify weak spots in work processes?
- How to find out how efficiently individual employees are working?
- How to measure and to compare the financial performance of businesses?
- How to find the right solutions?
The Train the Trainer seminars inform Standox Consulting advisers of specially developed tools and give them the opportunity to exchange experiences from their consulting work.
Pierre Bogers, Axalta’s Bodyshop Management Senior Consultant, runs the Train the Trainer seminars. He says, “The Train the Trainer concept is intended to help ensure that the quality of consulting is consistently high regardless of whether you use the consulting service in Turkey, Sweden or in Italy.”
And this consistency of professionalism ultimately benefits Standox bodyshops. The aim of the consultancy is to support them in trying to increase their turnover, to improve the workload distribution among employees, to attract new customers, to make work processes more efficient and to cut the average time a repair takes. “Standox advisers help our partner bodyshops to analyse their performance and to make management decisions which can help them be more successful in the long term,” continues Bogers.
Philippe Maeder and Attila von Zalan, who work for the Standox Swiss general importer André Koch AG as Repanet coordinators for Switzerland and who took part in the Train the Trainer seminar in Wuppertal, agree. “We have high expectations of the tools with which we were provided as there is rising demand amongst bodyshops for the consulting advice. Over the last few months, over 40 Swiss bodyshops joined Repanet, the Standox quality network. We are looking forward to using the new tools in Western Switzerland from early 2015,” Maeder says.
Olaf Adamek, Standox Brand Manager EMEA, explains how important the consultancy is for Standox: “Technology and premium products for outstanding refinish results are the prerequisites for successful work. But fleet, lease and insurance companies are becoming more influential and the number of accidents is falling. In view of the increasingly fraught market situation, professional consulting for bodyshops is becoming more important. We therefore supply bodyshops not only with paint products, but also with support from professional consultants, and our Train the Trainer programme is integral to that. In order to be among the best, bodyshops have to be at the top of their game in business management and marketing.”
