With effect from 1 September 2013, Olaf Adamek takes over as Brand Manager at Wuppertal-based paint manufacturer Standox GmbH. He succeeds Zvonimir Simunovic, who assumes new tasks within the company as Loyalty Programs Manager at Axalta Coating Systems.
Adamek started his career at DuPont Performance Coatings as Project Manager for Marketing Communications in 1998. From 2000, he worked in International Marketing, where he was responsible for brand management in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia. In his most recent position, which he took over in 2004, Adamek focused on the German market as Marketing Manager, Key Accounts Manager and Network Manager.
In his new position as Standox Brand Manager, Adamek will work at an international level again and be responsible for the strategic management of the Standox brand. In doing so, he will aim for continuity. “Standox is the premium brand in the market for automotive refinishing systems and is excellently positioned with its innovative product portfolio. Strengthening and communicating this position will be my primary task,” he says.
