Standox introduces new Basecoat Special Effect Mix 288 Sparkling Crystal, a mixing tint with glass flake pigments for its Standoblue and Standohyd Plus basecoat systems. This effect mixing tint makes it possible to accurately match the colour and effect of certain special OEM colours.
The microscopically small, aluminium-coated glass flakes produce a pure, very complex sparkle effect, which is currently used in special paints by many OEM car manufacturers including Mercedes, Audi and Fiat.
“Our Standowin iQ formula database already contains all the currently relevant colour formulas and also offers application tips,” says Armin Sauer, Standox Colour Management Specialist and Trainer. “And this database is updated weekly so that it can offer refinishers new mixing formulas for the latest colours.”
This is just one of the ways in which Standox helps professional bodyshops with technically demanding refinish jobs and enables them to reproduce even uncommon automotive colours with outstanding results.
Standox supplies these special mixing tints, such as Sparking Crystal and others that are not used every day, in economical 250 ml containers because they are only needed in small quantities.
